Dear God,
The aroma of fresh peaches cooking on the stove waft throughout my house crying out your living presence in the world. Who else would create such beautiful colors, scents and textures? No one!
You give witness to your divine presence in this world, Holy One, in so very many ways. Nature is so close to you, so full of you, love and hope. Each season proclaims your handiwork but this season of harvest is rich with images as veggies and fruits ripen and ready for eating and home canning. Sealed in glass jars until the snow flies makes the hard work worth it all. One brisk morning weeks from now, the winds blowing and snowflakes falling will signal the time to open a jar to let the sunshine in. Oh, who can wait???
You bless us, Lord, by giving us gifts from your hand. I, for one, am so grateful, so blessed and grateful!
Thank you,
Wondrous God,
for the gifts
of your spirit.
Thank you
for nature,
harvest, home canning
and colorful jars galore.
Thank you
for your
sweet and
glorious presence.
Love always, Andrea
