Dear God,

How long does it take to build trust?  It seems like it takes no time at all to destroy it.

Our nation is reeling because half our country trusts our presidential election was honest and truthful.  The other half believe it was fraudulent.  Our current president has excelled in lying, manipulating and abusing.  Because he is insecure, incompetent and unreliable, he is dishonest in his dealings with the American people.  Perhaps because he grew up in a home where trust was not always present, he sows the same seeds in America and the world.

But how do we build trust now?  It may be what you are saying to us is this:  This is the time to trust me more in order for you to build more trust in one another.  In every situation you call us to draw near you.  You invite us to move to Trust itself in order to understand it and grow in it ourselves.  

Holy and Loving God,

move us closer

to your side.

Show us

the way

to Trust

and to trust.

Remold and

remake us,

O God, 

all of us

that we

may be 

reshaped more

in your image.

Lead us,

I pray.
