Dear God,

Something happens when we lift our eyes, heart and mind to you.  When we cry out to you, when we seek your face and voice and when we seek to be close to you, something amazing always happens.  We feel a sense of calm and hope and love.  Our situation may remain the same but the power of your grace feeds the inner sanctuary of our soul.

How many times have I experienced this wondrous gift?  Too many times to count.  The act of turning to you opens the door to the gifts of heaven.  It always opens the door to possibility.  It makes wide a space where we can dwell together, to eat spiritual food and drink living water.  It gives love an opportunity to fight fear.  Our anxiety can lessen, our courage can rise up and our resolve can deepen.  All these come by your power, Holy and Almighty God.

You fill us

with strength

and power,

O God.

There is

no one

who cares more.

Thank you

for blessing us

as we

turn to you.
