Dear God,

I have never played an autoharp before.  Yet, I was drawn to it yesterday as it lay on the coffee table in the cabin in a southern Indiana woods where my friend and I are staying.  As I went through the cards of music, I saw Amazing Grace and so I plucked it out on the hand made instrument.  After plucking just the first chord, I felt close to you, Lord.  Something happened between my fingers and my heart.

You offer so many ways to inspiration, to faith and hope and joy and peace.  In the simplest things you come to us, stay with us and speak to us.  For me I was enthralled in the holy moment alone with you.

Thank you
for the
holy moment
of contemplation,
Eternal God.
Thank you
for the cord
that keeps us
close to you.
I am
so very grateful.
I plan
to repeat
that experience
moments from now
as I
hear your call
to take up
the harp
and play
my song
of praise
to you.

Love, Andrea
