Dear God,

Sing a new song in me.  Sing your song, for your song is the only song I want to sing.  Your song sings of joy and hope and peace, not only for me but for those around me.

The old song is just that, old.  It has nothing new to say, to lift up or to inspire.  It has lost life and potency.  It is dull, stagnant and lifeless.

So in this new year, sing a new song in me, Eternal God, I want to sing only your song.

Open me

to your tune,

your melodies

and harmonies,

your lyrics,

Loving God,

Pour your song

into me.

Then help me

sing, really song

a song

of faith

for you

and others.
