Dear God,

A bright red male cardinal keeps showing up outside my windows, in the kitchen, the bedroom, dining room, bathroom and back room.  He is beautiful as he warbles and flies from one branch to another.  Someone once said the appearance of cardinals is a sign of your presence.  I don't know whether that is true or not but why not?

I love the fact you have given us signs and symbols that remind us of your holy, living presence.  Daily you keep us aware of your nearness because we forget and fail to anticipate you are with us every day.  We need constant reminders so we do not slip into a narrow, earthly view of life.  While this is wonderful, it is never a full picture.  And who would not want more?

Blessed are you,

Almighty, Creative God.

You are

a wonder

to us.
