Dear God,

When we totally rely on you, we find hope for any situation.  When we trust you, we do not have to fear.  When we follow, life takes on new purpose, confidence and joy.

Some days are easygoing days.  On those non-eventful days, I sometimes reflect upon my blessings, thinking of your amazing generosity, careful tending and loving grace.  Those are great days because they cause me to think on you, your purpose for my life and the countless times you have revealed your unconditional, undeserved love.

Today is just one of those days!

Living God,

thank you

for faith

that instills

within us

an ability

to listen

for your voice

and hear

your word

for our lives.

Although there 

are those

who think

they are god,

there is

no substitute

for you.
