Dear God,

Your spiritual path is being readied for pilgrims who need to walk it.  For more than a decade I have been working on a spiritual path in the woods.  Never my project or one I would want to take on, you called me to the task and I have labored with you these many years.

I listen to you.  You show me the way.  You guide me to the way the path meanders, where to plant flowers, how to set stone, cut down dead and invasive trees and open areas for special purpose.  What is becoming extraordinarily beautiful has been your work alone.  I am blessed to have been a simple worker in your holy calling.

Is there nothing

you can't do,

Creative, Living God?

You whisper,

nudge and 

challenge us

to do things

we cannot 

possibly see

for the future.

You remind us

we don't have

to know

how it

will end;

you just 

ask us

to follow.

Thank you

for choosing me

for your work.

I am humbled,

so very humbled

to work

in the dirt

with you.
