Dear God,

As the sun slowly rose from its sleeping place, I moved quietly from the sleeping house.  Turning the corner on the unfamiliar street, I felt the gentle breeze upon my skin.  I began to pray feeling the need to lift names of those in trouble right now, a friend's nephew in a rehab center, an anxious mother, grieving parents and school mates, a worried husband and our world so often spinning out of control.  As I prayed, your song came to my lips.  "Come, thou long-expected Jesus, born a child and yet a king..."

As I continued my walk through the foggy morning, I felt your loving presence.  I praised your spirit at work in my life and the lives of those around me.  I recognized how void life would be without you.  I sang the rest of the way back home.

Thank you,
Caring God,
for the
amazing gifts
of your spirit.
Thank you
for including me
in your life.
Thank you
for all
your blessings,
especially the
sweet blessings
of this morning.

Yours, Andrea
