Dear God,

Such a holy day today.  Christmas Eve, so many memories of worship services, giving and receiving Holy Communion, lighting our candles from the Christ candle, singing hymns, offering prayers, listening to the word become flesh, such a holy day.

Tomorrow will be about family, food, gifts, sharing memories, laughter, games and more food.  It will be wonderful but only because of Christmas Eve, the holy day and night.  Your living presence takes us home and at this moment I find myself already there.

Thank you,

Holy Father,

for the gift

of this day.

Thank you

for the quiet,

the time

of reverence

and the holiness

of praise

for a

baby boy,

a holy

baby boy

and faith

made real

once again.
