Dear God,

Because we are made in your image we are eternally connected to you.  Because we are all connected to you, we are connected to one another.  When we feel alone, we need to remember this truth.

There are so many accounts of people who fall ill and die in isolation.  That is because it is not natural to be separate from one another.  While we may wish to disconnect from some who hurt or disappoint us, we cannot do so.  However, the cord that connects us to you keeps us safe from those who desire to harm.  

If we think of a large tapestry, we can see multiple colors, shapes and textures which makes it exquisitely beautiful.  Yes, there are rips and tears, snags and pulls but it remains a solid piece.  The one thread most pleasing is the one that runs through the entire tapestry.  That is yours, O God, so wonderfully created.

God Most High.
