Dear God,

Healing comes in many forms.  You call people to become healers, healers of people, the earth, animals.  You invite us to heal one another.

Today you began my own healing in an operating room where the oncological surgeon removed cancer from my body.  Along with nurses, technicians and pathologists, they used your gifts to bring restoration and renewal to me.

Every day you give us opportunity to count our blessings and give thanks.  You teach us to be a grateful people reminding us that even a bad day is a good day when you are with us in our trials, temptations and fears.  Expressing our gratitude can even be a healing act.

Thank you,

Loving God,

for the gift

of your healing.

who worked

to heal me today.

Thank you

for every soul

who offered healing

in this world today.
