Wednesday March 27, 2024

Dear God,

In the early hours this morning while the sky was still black, I heard several sirens begin to blare.  I didn't know whether they were police cars or fire engines.  I just knew something had happened to people who were now hurting.  I paused to pray for strangers.

Only you can connect strangers together, whether near or far.  You invite us to care for all your children, no matter who or where.  You want us to love one another.  Throughout the years I wonder how many prayed for my family and me, more than I can count, I am sure.  Thank you for giving me a chance today to return the favor.

Keep us
in touch
with each other,
O God.
We need
one another.
We all
have hurts
and wounds
that need tending.

Love, Andrea
