Dear God,

The fully-bloomed, ornamental cherry tree whispers, "Look and see the goodness of the Lord."  Every time I gaze upon that beautiful white tree, I think of you, O Lord.  For you have created this amazing wonder.  You have made her a refuge for the cardinals, sparrows and blue jays.  You have made her a sight to see for the neighbor.  You have made her a symbol and sign of hope and resurrection in the midst of a chaotic world.

Without vision, faith and hope we can only see what we can see, simply on the surface of life.  To the naked eye, the tree is a lovely cherry tree.  But through the eyes of faith she is so much more.  So much more.

Gracious Creator God.

for the reminder

to look again.
