 Dear God,

There is something so majestic, so mystical about listening for the silence in everyday living.  When I quiet my soul and say to myself there is so much more waiting for me, listen and hear, I realize you are speaking in me to me.  It is really a proclamation, not my own soul thoughts but your thoughts, your words waiting for me to join with you, to dwell with you for moments, minutes, an hour, a lifetime.

You have never disappointed me when I released my thoughts for your thoughts.  Growing weary of my own words, it is really a relief to pause, let go and open myself to you.  I need to do this daily.  I need to join your NOW in order to surrender my own moment.

Holy God,

thank you

for the beauty

of your voice.

Thank you

for calling me

to you.

Thank you

for allowing me time

to listen.
