Dear God,
A misty rain fell upon me as I carried my hand-picked strawberries to the farm market table. It felt good after squatting down for an hour to select sweet berries for jam I will create later this summer.
With luscious berries in hand, a gentle breeze and tiny rain droplets falling upon me, all I wanted to do was pray, to praise with thanksgiving and to sing with joy. Does it get any better than this I asked myself.
Spending time in creation at a local farm piqued my feelings of gratitude for all your many gifts. More and more I realize just how much comes from your loving hand.
Thank you,
O God,
for the beauty
of this day.
Thank you
for the abundance
of your love
for creation.
Thank you
not only
for the gift
of berries,
but also
for gentle breezes,
thoughtful reflection
and misty rain.
Yours, Andrea
