Dear God,
With a slight layer of snow on the branches of the ornamental cherry tree, I watch as a variety of birds dine on the tiny red berries. What provision you give to the birds of the air. While many birds fly south, cardinals, blue jays and purple finches along with some others frequently show up at the beautiful tree.
As is always true, nature reveals so much about you and provisions for humankind. Winter is especially marvelous because we have to look far and wide between barren branches, messy gardens and spectacular white, fluffy clouds seated in robin egg blue skies. If we are open, willing and quiet, we will discover a word, a phrase, a truth, a beauty or a mystery. It is all out there just waiting to be found.
Thank you
for our
cherry tree
and all
the beauty
it offers
all year long.
Thank you
for feeding
the winged creatures,
squirrels and chipmunks.
Most of all,
we thank you
for the gift
of your spirit
hidden in
every treasure
in nature.
Love always, Andrea
