Dear God,

Winter truly is the season of rest, reflection and renewal if we make it that way.  All the elements of transformation are tucked into winter.  Sadly, many people complain daily about the cold, the color and the pain of winter so they miss the mysteries and treasures of the season.

Just this morning I stood before the frosty winter pane of my study.  I gazed upon the teeny lines of snowflake images etched on the glass.  I felt enclosed in the wintry artistic adventure.  It was like you had stood on the patio with pen and ink and painted away in a flurry of snowflakes.  Such exquisite designs were right there in front of me.  What could I do but smile thinking you painted those just for me?

By the end of the day those sketches will be gone because the sun is out.  But for those blessed moments, the snow, the art, the Lord, the pen and I were all together as one.  I shall never forget the holy moment!

Thank you,
Gracious God,
for the
lovely gift
of winter.
Your presence,
your fingerprints,
your love
was so evident.
May I
bless you
all day long!

Yours forever, Andrea
