Dear God,

Fifty years ago today my youngest child was born.  Jill Maree entered into this world much loved.  Today at fifty she is a woman of faith, courage and joy.  I use these three words to describe her because she has been climbing a mountain of disappointment, hurt and pain.  In taking each step she started each day with you knowing she could not climb alone.  She decided she would follow your footsteps upward.

Jill has seen many changes.  She realized a long time ago the journey has turns and twists, open roads and dead ends, bridges and tunnels.  A life of transformation is going to have to traverse all these along with taking wrong turns, getting lost and living through ruts, slippery slopes and precarious intersections.  But one thing she discovered many moons ago it is easier facing them as she makes her way with you.

I am not telling you anything you don't already know, dear God, for you are her creator.  Yes, her father and I had something to do with it but not like you.  You designed her for your purpose and at fifty she is still anticipating with great joy what it means to be a God-companion traveling the way of faith.

Holy, holy
are you,
God Most High.
Thank you
for your
creative artistry
in Jill.
Thank you
for her beauty,
compassion, determination
love and faith.

Yours, Andrea
