Dear God,
In worship Sunday morning the choir sang the song, "Nearer, My God to Thee." In the pew I quietly joined in singing this song I sang every meeting of Job's Daughters in the 1960's. Because I was the soloist, I knelt to sing at the foot of the cross. There was something holy about that moment on my knees. Although that was 60 years ago, I still remember the feeling that came over me every time I sang.
My beloved grandmother taught me early on that God was always at work in our lives. You were always present, she said. You were always reaching out, loving and caring. As long as we watched, waited and listened, we would surely know the presence of the Holy.
Thank you
for the
loving message
of my grandmother.
Thank you
for her
agape love,
her tender care
and amazing example
of compassion
and Godly behavior.
For every gift
of loved ones,
thank you.
Yours, Andrea
