Dear God,

How much is it worth to fight for truth?  You said to your disciples and to us that we will know the truth and the truth would set us free.  How do we fight for truth when our current government is leading us with lies, manipulation and threats?  I don't understand; I simply don't understand!

At our book club we shared our deep concerns.  One woman is ready to go to jail to protect her transgender and gay children.  Although all the world's children are our children, it has become very personal as we reflect upon this one woman's children and my own grandchildren.  How are we to fight for them, O Lord?  What word do you have for us?  

Hold us

to the truth,

Merciful God.

Teach us

to give ear

only to

the truth.

Help us reject

all else.

Lead us,

we pray.
