Dear God,
The snow has finally come, blanketing the earth. I've waited and waited for the beautiful white. Last night while driving back from the hospital I watched the tiny flakes fall, glistening in the light.
To welcome it this morning I turned on my Christmas lights inside and out. I love the season of rare beauty where I can watch the snow fall and sit back in my chair appreciating the beauty of transformation. My lights are simply a celebration of the light that comes from heaven.
Thank you,
O God,
for the beauty
around me.
I am like
a little child.
I want
to stand outside,
reach my arms outward,
stick out
my tongue
catching flakes.
I want
to twirl around
receiving the gift
and offering
to you
my praise.
In the midst
of darkness
your light
has come.
In gratitude, Andrea
