My dearest God,

I believe music could heal the planet and all her people. The sounds of melodies and harmonies soothe the soul, unites the deepest part of ourselves, and makes for a peaceful habitation. I do so believe it.

Every time we gather for choir practice, I am happy. I sense the desire and hunger among those who come together to sing for you. When we blend our voices, there is a spirit of faith, trust in you, hope for the world, and an increase in love. We sing to bring joy to you, to ourselves, and others.

Although some music is difficult, the challenge drives us deeper into you as we rely on you to help us rise to higher levels of commitment and faith. As we struggle through complicated scores, we strive to make the grade, to learn, and to hone our skills. All the way through I believe you are with us helping us achieve your goals for your music.

The rewards are great. As we sing our parts, combine our efforts, and sing, the finished piece brings glory to your name. We who have sung it reap the benefit of joy knowing full well that we needed one another to make heaven's sound.

Great and Beneficent God,
