Dear God,
We had such a wonderful time with friends last night. We laughed and laughed and laughed, unmercifully teasing one another.
I believe laughter is one of your many gifts. Laughter can cleanse the soul, heal the wound, and clear the mind. It can renew the spirit giving it a chance to begin again.
Even as I sit here writing I remember the laughter in my grandmother's home when the whole family 40+ of us got together. Sometimes laughter would roar from one room to another, sometimes clear upstairs.
I think laughter can happen when people trust and love one another. Part of the laughter itself is the enjoyment we feel being with people we care about. That was certainly true just 24 hours ago.
When the special time is over, laughter still lingers in the memory enhancing the spirit and filling the soul with good stuff.
Great God,
I remember seeing
a picture
of your son laughing.
I'm sure
it wasn't
a good rendition
but the thought
of you laughing
makes my
own heart laugh.
Thank you.
Love, Andrea
