Dear God,
Today I am filled with gratitude. Maybe it is the rain or the music or the roses a friend dropped by. Maybe it is the delicious quiche I made or drinking from my mother's Maine cup or the flowers offering their last blooms. Maybe it is none of these. Maybe it is simply faith in you.
Some days a quiet explosion takes place in my insides. It is praise and thanksgiving. I know how blessed I am. If I never had another day, I am already full to overflowing with your many blessings.
As I contemplate about your will for my life, I wonder if I were made simply to give you praise. Down to my DNA cells I feel I was created to recognize and acknowledge your many gifts, to feel deep gratitude, and to daily give thanks.
What more could I ever want?
All the rest
of my days
let me sing
your praise,
Great and Loving God.
Let my heart
daily fill
with gratitude
to you
for love
that never ends
but flows
from an
eternal fountain.
Every day
remind me
to carry
my pail
of your grace
that I
might share
it with
other thirsty
and weary souls
always aware
that you are
the source
of living water.
In quiet
and reverent ways,
let me offer glory
to your name.
Love, Andrea
