Dear God,

How do we remove words we have said?  How do we rid the environment of sad words intended to sting?

Some words were said, hurtful words, damning words, words with a sharp point.  It was really about a small matter but you know how a small thing can become larger when two people have differing opinions.  Then it escalates and the air grows black and silent.  No swings, never anything like that.

I really know the answer to my own question...grace.  Grace is created daily to remake feelings, words, actions, and deeds.  Grace is like the Tide pen that rubs out stains.  Grace is like rain that washes away the dusty air.  Grace is like the sunrise after a dark, dark night.  I know the answer.

Merciful God,
full of compassion,
you are kind
and your love
is everlasting.
Forgive us
when we stumble
and fall.
Forgive us
when we
are resistant
to forgiving.
Forgive us
when we fail.
Thank you
for grace
to start again.

Love, Andrea
