Dear God,

Your love causes our own human love to grow, to reach out, and to touch those around us.  The greater we understand your love to be and the more we get in touch with that love, the greater our love can become as we trust you to fill us with love from on high.  In today's world there are so many reasons not to love.  Trust is at an all-time low.  We don't want to get hurt so we build up walls to keep people at arm's length. However, when we immerse ourselves in your love, we are so full we cannot keep it all for ourselves.

Today my daughter and two granddaughters went shopping with me.  Not my favorite thing in the world to do, I do love spending time with my family.  And when we are together we do really silly things together because we do live in love that spills over.  We laugh together.  We remember together.  We hug together. And when we are in public we allow our love to go out to make people smile and sometimes even laugh at us.

We walked in the mall with Santa hats on.  When one of my granddaughters ate the middle of her grilled cheese sandwich, I put the leavings on my upper lip because it reminded me of a large mustache.  I am sure others around us thought I was crazy.  On the other hand a good laugh, a healthy laugh comes from wanting to spread joy which is simply a byproduct of love.
