Dear God,

You give us opportunity for faith by loving us.  You breed into us the ability to say yes to a relationship with you.  You instill in us the capacity to grow and be transformed.  By doing so, you make it possible for us to not only transform situations around us but also to do the impossible.

The Benedictine sisters of the Immaculate Conception Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana give cause to pause and imagine faith doing the impossible.  Spending time in community with them recently enlightened my own faith showing me just how much faith can do when applied.  Their love for you, their commitment to be light wherever possible, and their service to others reminds all who come to them that faith can move mountains. When they came to Ferdinand in 1867 they had nothing; yet, today a grand, magnificent monastery rises up the highest hill in town and stands as a testimony to faith and all its possibilities.

As I worshiped and prayed, walked in silence, and ate and spent time with the Catholic sisters, I reflected upon faith at its finest.  I felt my own awakening and allowed your spirit to stir within me.  I realized just being present with these beautiful women of faith gave burst to faith in my own soul and I was so grateful.

Living God,
stir in us,
all your people.
Let faith
have its way
so we too
might shine
for the world.

Love, Andrea
