Dear God,

When we open ourselves to you in sweet surrender, we find our way to redemption and reconciliation. Whether a challenge within ourselves or with another person, we see a broader picture, a bridge, and a path that can lead us to healing, hope, and joy.

As I shared a few days ago about my dark night of the soul experience, I want to tell you how the rest of the story played out.  My restless disturbance became peace following that midnight encounter with you.  The very next day I found my calm brought about a calm in my household that opened a door to an important conversation between my husband and me.  We were able to hear one another and our mutual love and respect gave us an opportunity to clear up some issues we had been facing. In the end it all seemed so easy although hours before it seemed an impasse.

The more I trust you with all that is within me, the more I realize how your power can take us to new levels of faith.  We can be changed; our relationships can be transformed.  We can grow together just as you desire.

All-Powerful and All-Loving God,
thank you
for your
holy work
within the
human community.
Thank you
for touching
my heart
and urging me
to listen
to you.
Every time
I pause
and sit
at your feet,
I learn
something more.
I am humbled
and made ready
for your will.
