Dear God,

You are most gracious, kind, and loving.  You are God over us all.  You are worthy of our deep devotion, respect, faith, love, and praise.

When I speak more of myself and less of you, I fail to fully live in faith.  My sights are driven low instead of high.  I suck in praise for myself and forget to offer up the whole of my devotion.  Please forgive me.

As I consider your ways, your hospitality and grace, your mercy and challenge, I realize it is only with these I have a chance at a faith-filled life.  You give me opportunity to drink from your cup of joy.  You build me up when I fall down.  You speak softly when I cry out.  You lift me up, raise my eyes to the heavens, and you breathe new life into me.  Without you I am a shell, empty, lost, and without direction.  With you I stand in faith, hopeful, and at peace.

You are God;
there is none
like you.
Thank you,
Blessed Father,
for reminding me
to rise high,
to look
into your face,
and to hear
your voice.
Quiet my
own voice
so I may
better hear yours.
Speak and
I will listen.

Love, Andrea
