Dear God,
She lifted my shoulder blade, put her fingers in and around it, and pulled and pushed the muscles and tendons first one way and then another. Oh, my sore, aching blade hurt but with all her work, several exercises, and a good icing, I had no pain when I left the physical therapy department.
I tend to overwork my body. I love to do so much especially outdoor work that I typically overdo before I know I am overusing the good muscles you gave me. I wear myself down and I am left with aches, spasms, and pain. I fail to take care of the only body you are ever going to give me.
I thank you for pain that reminds me to pay attention, to listen, to relax, and to embrace the gift you have given me. Thank you for the ability to say I am sorry, to repent for overworking, and to change...again. Thank you for therapists who attend to the body, mind, and soul, those persons with special gifts of knowledge, discernment, and healing. Thank you for grace that overflows from heaven to earth.
Healing God,
please forgive me
once again
for not taking
good care
of myself.
Thank you
for love
that is extended
no matter
what I do.
Thank you
particularly for grace.
Love, Andrea
