Dear God,

As I was making ready for a big Advent weekend with seven of my grandchildren, I came across what looked to be a piece of scrap paper in my desk drawer.  I realized it was a blue post-it-note that had been folded down until it was just tiny.  I unfolded it and found a very special note.  "Grandma and Grandpa, I love you.  You're amazing.  Thanks for being an amazing grandma."  It was signed, One of your grandchildren.  I was so touched.  I felt so loved and happy.

That prized note brought to mind the countless times I have experienced significant surprises from you.  A changed situation, a shift in a position, a grace, a renewed hope, an exceptional mercy, and a rare insight came as gifts of love seemingly out of nowhere.  Such wonders increase my faith, fill me joy, and stretch my resolve to bless someone else.

There is
no God
like you.
You came
to me
through my
beautiful granddaughter
with a
significant offering
of love.
I am
indeed grateful.
Thank you
for unexpected gifts,
blessings, and surprises.

Love always, Andrea
