Dear God,

The beautiful, exquisite white lilies stand tall in our flower garden reminding me of trumpets playing on Easter morning.  Day after day, they stretch more and more toward heaven as if to lay claim on your glory.  Their gentle dance in the morning breeze causes me to sing my own praise to you.

When I quiet my soul, pause, and consider your many gifts, I find an astonishing number of blessings.  The cool air, misty rain, and an array of resplendent flowers, shrubs, and trees cause me to stop what I am doing so I can revel in the majesty of your creation.  While I smile and sing my own praise to you, a variety of melodious birdsongs rise in the air.  Does it get any better than this?  I ask myself.

Creator God,
thank you
for the
miracle gifts
that rise
from the earth
and sky.
Thank you
for breathing life
into your
created order.
Thank you
for beauty
that inspires
and refreshes
the soul.

Love, Andrea
