Dear God,

For months they looks dead.  They have all the symptoms, brown lifeless branches, dried up petals, and broken stems.  They look and act dead.

But then spring comes and suddenly those branches liven up.  Little green shoots start to appear. Buds begin to form.  Within weeks the bright pink roses open up letting off a sweet fragrance.  It's quite a sight to behold.

The transition from dead of winter to the life of spring is a remarkable one.  As we observe the miraculous changes, we are filled with awe and wonder.  We see beauty rise up before us, in our homes almost like a private video account of your glory.  But even as we are mystified and joyous over the transformation, we realize your power to help us personally move from death to life in the same way.  We are encouraged to participate, to stir in our cocoons, and to finally break through the crusty surface.  What we find awaiting us is a momentous occasion.

How can we ever thank you?

Miracle God,
thank you
for making us new.
Thank you
for the
whole process
of change,
for each part
is a wonder.
Thank you
for joy
that erupts
within us
as we see
the light
once again
and ourselves
as beautiful creatures.

Love always, Andrea
