Dear God,
I watched as the scene unfolded...a pair of beautiful finches eating from the flower garden. Tugging at the seeds of a delicate purple flower (I don't know the name), they were so animated and playful. I gazed until they finally flew away.
So often, O Lord, we miss the beauty that is right outside our window. Although we may look out, we may not see. We are blind because our minds are full. We are distracted by life's many issues. We fail to see the extravagance of your wondrous creation. We forget your finest work may be just around the corner or outside the window.
Today I was grateful for the pause, the opportunity to observe your wonders, and for the exquisite beauty of your world right outside my window.
Wondrous God,
thank you
for the
natural environment
where your handiwork
is so evident.
Thank you
for color,
texture, and sound.
Thank you
for your
divine creatures.
Love always, Andrea
