Dear God,

Jesus was high and lifted up, his glowing white robes alive with light.  He caught my eye and captured my heart the whole service.  Who could not be mesmerized by the holy son of God?

You greet us every time we worship.  You speak your mercy to us.  You shine your light in our darkness.  You are present, O Lord, when your people gather.

All throughout the service at Second Presbyterian, you spoke your words of truth, hope, and loving care.  Through the music, the written word, and the spoken message you came alive and stirred our hearts.  You filled our souls and gave us divine promises.

But then don't you always?  Blessed be our God!

We are thankful,
Gracious God,
for your
great love
for your people.
When we gather
in your name,
you do not disappoint us.
You bless us,
challenge us,
and invite us
to a
deeper life
in you.
