Dear God,

How beautiful the snow was as it fluttered from the sky to the earth!  I watched from one window and then another.  I stepped outside and clicked pictures.  I put my hands out catching the tiny, handmade snowflakes.  Tears welled in my eyes.  How can you bless me so much, O Lord, I whispered to you.

Some days I feel so blessed I can hardly take in all your goodness.  I look at my life and count my blessings.  I feel full inside realizing how much all of life is a gift.  The unique, beautiful snowflakes are just the latest example of my blessings.

When I consider you, Lord, and think how you touch, inspire, and challenge your people, I come to the knowledge how your living presence meets with our own, how you speak and relate to us.  You are not a passive God who does not care.  Rather, you are God who walks and talks with us every day.  We have this amazing relationship with you simply because we are your children.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Today I celebrated you by making snow cookies and snowflake hot chocolate for my neighbors.  Although I was blessing them, I was really blessing you.

Receive my praise,
O Lord,
I offer up
my love
and devotion
to you.
Help me
turn my blessings
into blessings
for others,
I pray.

Love, Andrea
