Dearest God,

Writing in the morning, stepping intentionally into your presence is like coming home, a grand reunion with all the favorite relatives present to greet you.  Sometimes I am like an excited child, so happy to leap into your arms of grace.  Other times I come sad and befuddled only to find you waiting with comfort.  And there are those times when I approach you with guilt, an unforgiving heart, and a list of wrongs.  Even then you greet me like a well-loved child.

One of the great joys I receive every day is sharing aloud the wonders of your love.  I get the privilege of recounting the ways I see you in human life.  I have the opportunity to reflect and contemplate on faith and the miraculous way faith informs, challenges, and blesses.  When I come to you in the morning, it's even better than sitting down with a friend and drinking hot cocoa on a wintry cold day.  It beats all!

I am blessed, Lord, so very blessed because you are the greatest blessing in my life.  You allow me to draw close and stay a while and joy, eternity's joy bubbles up and up and up!

Holy God,
you are amazing,
mighty,
and praiseworthy!
Thank you
for permitting
your children
to spend
prized moments
with you.
You are God;
there is none
like you!

Love always, Andrea
