Dear God,

You give us opportunity to walk with others whose daily journey is difficult.  You ask us to walk beside them, to take their hand, and to make our way together.  What gift is ours when we observe their courage as we support them in their growth.

Because you have sent others to walk with me through the valley of the shadow, I know the privilege of being called to assist others.  I can remember the pain, the sorrow, and the challenge each day seemed but it is precisely because I have lived in that shadow that you have called me to help others.  It is a special joy when it is a family member we love so much.  When we see them rise up into the light, we know your hand has helped them.

that bubbles over.

for love
that walks
beside us.
