Dear God,

"Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."  Every time I discover your presence and give thanks, I pray this prayer of faith.

Every time I see a sad, disheartened face and observe someone reaching out to help, I realize your kingdom has come on earth.  When I see how tender care and gentle mercies are imparted and observe what change can come, I realize your will is being done.

Not so long ago at a retreat we contemplated the Lord's Prayer.  I thought of how I repeat the prayer, yet feel far off from it.  However, during the retreat I felt myself move from the hinter land to your table.  I felt drawn to the table, the banquet table of love, sacrifice, and hope.  The words took on new meaning as I experienced the inner sanctum of that prayer.  Now, each time I pray it, in church, at home, or anywhere, I feel your nearness and I am filled with gratitude.

Holy Father,
thank you
for valuable
life lessons.
Thank you
for teaching moments.
Thank you
for kindness
that has
no end.

Love, Andrea
