Dearest God,

Your Holy Spirit inspires us in so many ways!  It inspires us to pray for another's healing.  It inspires us to preach good news to others.  It inspires us to seek justice.  It inspires us to love our neighbor.  It inspires us to write hymns and tunes, poems, prayers, and promises.  It inspires us to take courage and do what we think impossible.  It inspires us to change, to transform ourselves, and be change agents for the good of others.  It inspires us to reach out to people different from us.  It inspires  passionate leadership.  It inspires the downhearted to rise up.  It inspires hope to the hopeless.  It inspires surrender and triumph.  It inspires.

In daily life we often forget that true, authentic inspiration comes from you.  We stumble on our own, take credit for what we do, and lead empowered with human power alone.  We set aside faith to do our own bidding.  We don't take time for holy silence, prayer, listening, meditating, and following your will.  We act as little gods without power from on high.

When we pause long enough to look for daily blessings, we find inspiration all around us.  We can be inspired by a morning sunrise, a bird song, a simple gesture of kindness, an unexpected gift, a gentle challenge, a prayer prayed for us, a healing touch, a spring flower pushing up through the snow and the poor being fed.  Inspiration, faith is evident, always evident to the eye that looks for it!

for those

and inspires us
to bless others.
