Dear God,

You know we need change.  You know we need transformation.  You know what change and transformation can do to us.

Several weeks ago I learned a shocking truth. It was hard to take in.  At the same time it involved someone I love very much.  I knew it would require alteration on my part.  I asked for your help.  Little by little you shifted my thinking from denial to resistance to acceptance.  I knew what was at stake so you helped me find my way. Today for the first time we were able to talk, to be real, and to reflect upon the future.

Oftentimes if we do not change, we lose people we love.  They just slip away from us.  But because you make family to love one another, you show us the way to be transformed so as transforming agents we can be about your work of loving one another and building a better future.
