Dear God,

Generosity...divine offering.  A woman and her two children walked into a jewelry shop to sell a ring given to the woman as a gift from her mother.  When the jeweler asked why she was selling it, she said she was broke and needed money.  She hated selling it but had no choice.  He asked what she thought it was worth.  She said whatever was the true value of the ring.  He went to the cash register, took out a sum of cash, and handed it to the woman along with the ring.  The woman was confused but the man told her to keep it.  He just wanted to help.

Every day you offer us gifts like that.  You surprise us with lavish, unexpected presents.  You bless us because we need help or guidance or love.
