Dear God,

How in the world do we help heal our world?  How do we begin to make friends with enemies?  How do we create anew when we have messed up so badly?

Our nation is divided.  Our world is at odds with itself.  The earth is in turmoil.  How do we bring peace, hope, and harmony?

To pray for our country without consideration for the rest of the world is unconscionable.  The people of every nation is family.  They have hurts, fears, and disappointments just like us.  How can we ignore them?

O Lord,
help put faces
on all
your children
so we
can see them
as sisters
and brothers.
Teach us again
how to love
one another.
Lead us
to you
so we
may follow,
take hands,
and sing praise together.
