Dear God,

Although I failed to clear, fertilize, and tend to the flower garden, still the flowers bloom.  They are radiant in their color, texture, and beauty.  They display their praise for you as they lift their heads to heaven.

Oh to be like the flowers!  How I wish I could express my love and gratitude even when I am irritated, ungrateful, and angry.  How I wish I could let go of my expectations so I could be free to worship you in my daily living.  How I wish I could be strong and determined to show you my faith in spite of anything and everything.  I long to delight you, O Lord.

Your love
is eternal,
Gracious God.
You let
your light
shine on us
even when
we choose
the darkness.
Remove the log
in our eye
before we
point out
the speck
in our
neighbor's eye.

Love, Andrea
