Dear God,

How can the soul turn from sweet to sour in a matter of minutes? 

Habits!  Bad habits can literally turn us upside down.  A specific temptation can turn us around changing our attitude and course.  Whatever comes we fall back into our default and there we express the worst of our self.

I know, I just fell victim to my own sinfulness.  Something happened.  I learned a person I thought I knew had betrayed me.  As per usual I succumbed to my old ways.

Lord, I don't want to be my old self.  I don't want to live the same old way.  I don't want to react with the same old attitude and practices.  I want a new self, clean, pure, and flexible in your hands.  I want you to clean me up and put a new attitude in me.  I want to please you.

Please forgive me, Lord,
for I
am a sinner.
I grab
for the
easiest thing,
my old nature.
Please reconstruct me.
Make me new.
Put a
right spirit
within me,
I pray.
