Dear God,
How good you are to remind us of prayer, how our work for you is prayer. Whether we labor as a custodian, president, nurse, garbage collector, journalist, teacher or more, we can make our work a prayer. When we fulfill your will for us, we live prayer in grace, love, and gratitude.
In Richard Foster's book entitled, Prayer, he talks about "prayer in action." Centuries ago Brother Lawrence talked about "praying the presence of God" as he washed the pots and pans. When we open the door of our heart and soul to you, O Lord, our work can be a means of living our devotion to you. No matter what we do, it is unto your glory!
Blessed God,
thank you
for the wonder
of prayer.
Thank you
for connecting us
to you.
Thank you
for our work
where we
can sing
your glory.
Love, Andrea
