Dear God,

Rylan has the heart of a tender soul.  He loves and not just a little.  He feels love and he shares it with others.

Rylan is my grandson but you already know that.  He almost didn't make it when he was born.  In ICU for several days we prayed, begging you to save him and you did.  Now Rylan is trying to save our family.  When conflict disrupted our lives three years ago, Rylan was pained.  But now he wants me to fix the family.  He wants me to ground my children really thinking that will work.  At 10 years old he knows better but he wants everyone repaired so we can share our lives together on Christmas Day.

You offer us the gift of reconciliation, hope, healing, mercy, and recovery.  These are all your gifts.  You want us to receive them and then offer them to others.  Rylan is a reminder of these gifts and we can choose or reject them.

Bless you
for giving us Rylan.
Thank you
for his
generous love.
Help us
to let go
of the hurts
of the past
so we
can discover
the joys
of the future.

Love, Andrea
