Dear God,

When we have faith, we carry you with us everywhere we go.  Inside and outside you are with us.  When we live that faith, we constantly give you away to others.  We share your love, your mercy, and your kindness.  We let your light shine outwardly because your light shines inwardly, within us.

There is so much to say about faith.  So much.  Faith is the one gift that will never be taken away from us.  Although it sounds cliche, it is the gift that keeps on giving.  Faith blesses the bearer but also the one with whom faith is shared.  Like yeast, it grows making something so beautiful.

As I read my morning devotions I feel that yeast growing inside me.  I feel the warmth only faith can give.  I feel the joy that faith offers to all who have it inside and who share it outside with others.  In the early morning as I sit in a room lighted only by tiny white Christmas tree lights, I sit in silence so happy, so content, so very, very blessed.

Holy God,
blessed are you
for faith
you give
your children.
Thank you
for shining
your light
with us.
Thank you
for everything.
