Dear God,

Even after I sat down, I could still feel the bread, the bread of heaven.  I had helped serve Holy Communion.  As each communicant stood before me, I broke off a piece of bread, placed it in their open palms, held their hands tight, and whispered, "The body of Christ, the bread of heaven."

When you open our eyes to faith, we see, hear and feel the wonders of your spirit.  Although we may miss many signs and wonders, there are those moments, those sacred moments that stop us, feed us, transform us, fill us and help us sense your living presence.  Sunday was one of those and I still remember the grace of it all.

Loving God,
thank you
for divine mysteries
that touch
and inspire us.
Thank you
for Sunday,
for your body broken
and your blood spilled.
Thank you
for sacred remembrance.

Love, Andrea
